人和动物最明显的生理特征是运动,走、爬、飞、游。要保证个体生存和种族繁衍必须精确地控制行为动作。而行为动作的精确性离不开后天学习。个人的运动学习和执行能力会受到多种因素影响,包括对感觉信息的认知、年龄、健康程度、运动经验及其运动相关的记忆。因此,研究运动控制的神经机制是揭示复杂脑的窗口。
我们所感知的外界信息中,80%左右是通过眼睛获得的。眼球运动被认为是研究感觉-运动界面的极好模型。课题组结合认知行为检测、电生理技术、脑功能调控技术、功能成像技术及神经计算仿真研究脑精确控制行为动作的神经机制。同时也将探索其在脑疾病的防治、诊断,以及智能技术,例如仿人机器人中应用的可能。
